MEL entered the UK market in 1986, and the representative office is in the heart of London in Soho. The London team has grown over the years and I’m proud to be the first local employee to work within the development team. We consist of two business lines, where our team predominantly focuses on commercial office investment and development.
We strive to make an impact in the London market and always try to lead by example. It’s our mission to create meaningful spaces and contribute to society through urban development. The UK and especially central London, as a global gateway city, are highly important markets with global attention.

I joined Mitsubishi Estate London ca. 5 years ago as the first non-Japanese employee in the business development team. This was a very exciting opportunity for me.
Our office is in central London, Soho and I enjoy being part of the buzzing surroundings every day. Most of our stakeholders are located within walking distance, which is ideal. If you get lucky you can even walk to our development sites, if not you can pick them up in the London skyline from almost everywhere. Encompassing a role that is both dynamic and diverse, my work entails a constant stream of challenges revolving around project management and stakeholder engagement that span various aspects of a development. It requires me to connect with an extensive network of partners, ranging from contractors and consultants to government bodies and local authorities. The scope of my work not only enables me to explore different aspects of the business but also broadens my knowledge and expertise.

London is the capitol of England, a global metropolitan City. It’s a melting pot of many different cultures. It has everything to offer and will forever change. London has a wide variety of cultural heritage and modernity at the same time.
