Hello everyone! I'm Kirk Russell Chan, but you can call me Kirk, like my colleagues do. I currently reside in Rizal, a province near Metro Manila in the Philippines. I work in Taguig City, part of the Philippines’ National Capital Region (NCR).

After graduating from university, I began my career in the automotive industry with Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC). MMPC is a key player in the Philippine automotive industry, holding a strong No. 2 position. At MMPC, I play a crucial role in the Sales Administration and Ordering Department, overseeing the procurement of units to meet our annual targets. Managing these responsibilities has been a true blessing, providing me with insights not only into supply chain management but also into sales demand. Seeing the vehicles I’ve ordered on the roads fills me with immense joy and satisfaction.

I was fortunate enough to be selected as a participant in MMPC’s Cross-Cultural Work Immersion Program (CCWIP), which took place at MMC Headquarters in Tamachi, Japan, from January to June 2024. It was an incredible opportunity that made me very happy and for which I am grateful. Not only did I get to work closely with my colleagues, I also enjoyed participating in activities with them outside of work.
During my time at the MMC Philippines Business Department, I learned a great deal and forged new friendships within the company. I am immensely thankful to everyone I worked with for their kindness and hospitality during my short stay in Japan. We still stay in touch, and I look forward to welcoming them to the Philippines soon.

In my downtime, I frequent the gym, enjoy activities with friends, or embark on trips to explore different provinces. Recently, I visited Zambales, renowned for its delicious mangoes, about four to five hours north of Metro Manila in North Luzon. Three weeks after returning from Japan, some friends and I unwound at Liwliwa Beach in Zambales, riding ATVs along the shoreline for fun.

Another recent trip with my friends was to the Province of Bataan, also located in the northern area. Bataan, where many historical events occurred, is still a rural area with a population much smaller than that of the metro. My friends and I went to a hilltop in Bataan and chilled there while playing music and eating. We also visited a riverside spot where we enjoyed breakfast while sharing stories about each other. We really enjoyed our time there and getting away from the fast-paced city life of the metro area.
The Philippines is famous for its vacation spots but also for its delectable cuisine. One of my personal favorites is sisig, a renowned dish originating from Pampanga. Mila’s Tokwa’t Baboy and Sisig in Pampanga tops my list for its generous servings and quality ingredients. Don’t miss their tokwa’t baboy and crispy pata when you visit—they are simply irresistible!
As I continue to contribute to MMPC’s success, I look forward to further exploring and promoting the rich cultural and natural treasures that the Philippines has to offer. Hope to see you around!
